A three-row Tank 500 loaded with people, luggage and camping gear needs more than stock brakes. Add steel bumpers, sliders, roof tent and recovery kit, and you’re asking a lot from the factory system on long grades and mountain passes.
The OR6 package for Tank 500 is built for exactly that situation. A forged 6-piston caliper with 79 cm² (12.25 in²) of piston area and a 32 mm thick high-carbon rotor give the truck the extra clamp force and heat capacity it needs when you’re running full family trip weight, not just commuting empty.
If your Tank 500 is built for long highway miles and rough access roads with the whole crew on board, OR6 is the front brake system that lets the truck drive the way you built it – safely and with margin.
This is the same OR6 hardware we engineer for heavy off-road use, configured here for the Tank 500. The numbers below show why it holds up when the truck is fully loaded and the road points downhill for a long time.
